At Seedstock Community Currency, we believe that one of the most powerful ways that we can change our world is by changing our money. Money is a major force in all of our lives - can you imagine if at least some of the money we used every day supported the positive changes we wish to see in the world? Seedstock is a collaborative currency that circulates and remains within our communities, creating new connections, opportunities and collaborations among local people, businesses and organisations. Using Seedstock is a powerful step we can take towards a more sustainable, resilient, equitable and vibrant community.
When businesses first join the Seedstock network, they underwrite Seedstock and gift it to local causes they wish to support. Now here's where you come in: by buying Seedstock from these local causes, you are providing them with cash that they can use to further their good works in the community, and receiving Seedstock in exchange, which you can then spend at participating community-minded businesses. It's like getting a double use of your money!
